bordersworks is part-financed by funded by the European Union, Scottish Enterprise Borders and managed by the Scottish Borders Chamber of Commerce.  bordersworks aims to:

There has been a steady increase in the number of jobs in the Borders, and this is predicated to continue. The biggest growth has been in the construction sector where the number of jobs has doubled.

It is estimated that there will be a demand for another 7,500 jobs in the Borders in the next 10 years.
